Job Description
- Provide medical care for patients across the lifespan (children to geriatrics) at NTSH.
- Work under the clinical supervision of the Physician III and the administrative supervision of the General Medical Services (GMS) Program Supervisor V.
- Supervise, mentor, and collaborate with Advanced Practice Registered Nurses assigned to GMS.
- Monitor and report GMS activities to the Physician III at their request.
- See employees that have been injured while on duty.
Requirements
- Current License as a Physician in the State of Texas.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of medical methods, procedures, and trends; principles and practices in the development, implementation, and documentation of individualized care and treatment plans; principles of public health practices; and disease management and risk analysis.
- Skill in the care and treatment of patients; use of medical diagnostic and treatment tools and equipment; use of a computer and applicable software; developing, describing, and communicating medical or public health plans and procedures; project management, prioritization, and program evaluation; and problem identification, analysis, and resolution.
- Ability to examine, diagnose, and treat physical and/or mental disorders; interpret laboratory analyses and x-rays; interact effectively and professionally with persons from diverse cultural, socioeconomic, educational, racial, ethnic, and professional backgrounds; communicate effectively; and plan, assign, and/or supervise the work of others.
