    Job Description:

    • Provide exceptional nursing care in accordance with our policies and procedures
    • Enhance the clinical care and quality of life of our residents
    • Ensure that all resident rights are protected
    • Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician
    • Check all residents daily to ensure that prescribed treatment is properly administered
    • Evaluate residents' physical and emotional status
    • Keep the RN Supervisor informed about the status of residents, staff, and related matters
    • Implement recommended changes as directed by the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses
    • Administer professional services such as catheterization, tube feeding, suction, applying and changing dressings/bandages, packs, colostomy and drainage bags, taking blood, sputum, and urine specimens, etc.
    • Complete all Licensed Practical Nurse LPN required record-keeping forms/charts upon the resident's admission, discharge, transfer, etc.
    • Give and receive nursing reports upon reporting in and ending shift duty hours
    • Investigate complaints and grievances and make necessary oral/written reports to the RN Supervisor or Director of Nurses
    • Present a professional image to residents and families through dress, behavior, and speech
    • Adhere to our policies and standards

    Requirements:

    • Certification as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
    • A caring and loving personality and demeanor
    • Leadership and mentorship skills
    • Ability to work your scheduled shift
    • Ability to read, write, and speak English
