    Registered Nurse

    The RN is responsible for the provision and coordination of patient-centered care. The RN coordinates care to achieve desired outcomes, participates in patient and family teaching, and provides leadership by delegating and working cooperatively and collaboratively with ancillary nursing and other members of the healthcare team in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice and performance in the clinical setting. The RN is also accountable to practice in accordance with the Michigan Public Health Code Act 368 of 1978, Article 15 (Health Occupations), Part 172 (Nursing). The RN must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care and service appropriate to the age of the patients served in his/her area.

    Job Description

    • Provision and coordination of patient-centered care
    • Participation in patient and family teaching

    • Assessment and diagnosis of patient health needs
    • Development and documentation of individualized care plans

    Requirements

    • Graduate of accredited Registered Nursing Program required
    • Current Michigan RN License required
    • Current BLS for the Healthcare Provider required
    • Bachelor's of Science Nursing (BSN) preferred
    • For ICU/TU, Cardiac Cath Lab, Emergency, PACU, Surgery Center, Endoscopy, Spine/Orthopedics, Float Pool: ACLS Certification or completed within one year of hire
    • For Emergency, 5 West, PACU, Surgery Center: PALS certification or completed within one year of hire
    • For Birth Center: NRP Certification or completed within one year of hire
    • Certification in specialty area (CCRN, CRN, CNOR, CEN, etc.) preferred
    • Recent hospital experience and/or previous nursing practice experience preferred
    • 2 years prior RN experience in desired specialty area preferred
    • Prior experience with electronic patient documentation system preferred
    • Prior experience with technology common to specialty area (i.e., cardiac monitors, IV pumps) preferred
    • Bilingual preferred

    Benefits

    • $5,000 sign-on bonus
    • Pay range: $35 - $48.77/hour
    • Employment type: Part-time nights, 48 hours every 2 weeks
    • Schedule: 7:00 pm - 7:30 am, includes every 3rd weekend
