Job Description

• Work as a collaborative team member to meet the service goals of the pharmacy
• Create a welcoming environment by greeting all customers and providing quick and efficient service
• Accurately enter patient information into the pharmacy database to assist with proper billing
• Maintain a safe pharmacy environment by adhering to health code guidelines and corporate standards
• Have thorough knowledge of the dispensing department
• Know and follow all aspects of the Data Entry Department Manual
• Have thorough knowledge of medical records, including HOA's, frequency codes, acute vs. routine orders, ancillary orders, non-med and med orders formats
• Ability to input prescriptions for both ALF and SNF facilities for all types of orders
• Working knowledge of prior authorization requirements and narcotic prescription tracking, IV supply requirements, facility stock and per diem accounts, and formulary interchange
• Maintain facility communication logs and follow up on issues
