CRNA Position Overview
Providers will join a large anesthesia care team practicing under 4:1 supervision with exposure to a full range of cases - including OB, thoracic, vascular, ortho, GI, ENT, and healthy pediatrics. CRNAs perform spinals and epidurals independently and participate in an 8-week rotating schedule that includes optional night or weekend call.
Job Description
- Full-time schedule of 40-60 hours/week guaranteed
- Shift types: 8s, 10s, and 12s (primarily days; occasional nights)
- On-call: 1 shift per 8-week schedule (night or weekend)
- Weekend requirement: 1 weekend per month (as needed)
- Holiday: One required holiday per year paid at 1.5x hourly
- Floating: As required
- Team model: 4:1 supervision with anesthesiologists
- Travel: Billable; flights prepaid for full-time clinicians (one round trip per assignment)
- Orientation: 8 hours (billable at standard rate)
- Credentialing timeline: 90-120 days
Requirements
- Required certifications: NBCRNA, BLS (AHA)
- Licensure: Active Virginia CRNA license required (or in process at time of submission)
- Experience: Minimum 2 years; must have Level II trauma experience
- Required: OB and thoracic experience
- Preferred: Pediatrics experience
- Must be proficient in spinal and epidural anesthesia
- No nerve blocks required
Job Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services for all cases except transplants
- Manage OB, thoracic, and vascular cases independently
- Perform and manage epidurals and spinals
- Participate in scheduled call and weekend rotations
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, surgeons, and nursing teams
- Maintain compliance with departmental policies and documentation standards
