A community hospital in eastern North Carolina is seeking a Board-Certified Hematology Oncology physician to provide both inpatient and outpatient coverage on a long-term locum tenens basis. The schedule is Monday through Friday with no nights, weekends, or call, offering work-life balance in a collegial environment. Providers must be available for orientation the day before the first scheduled shift and commit to the full coverage period.

Job Description

• Monday-Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
• No nights, weekends, or call responsibilities
• Inpatient & outpatient mix
• Average patient volume: 15 per day
• EMR: Epic (Oncology module)
• Prepaid travel and lodging
• Malpractice insurance provided at no cost
• HPA Healthcare is a Joint Commission-certified agency
• Pay ranks in the top 15% of Hem/Onc locum roles nationwide

Requirements

• Board Certification in Hematology and Oncology required
• Active North Carolina license
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience post-fellowship required
• AHA BLS certification required
• Familiarity with Epic preferred
• Comfortable managing a general oncology/hematology patient panel
• No ICU, critical care, or ED backup required
