Cardio-Vascular OR Nurse

HumanEdge is looking to hire a Cardio-Vascular OR Nurse to work in one of Connecticut's largest health care systems. Shift is a mix of 8 and 12 hour day shifts. ASAP start for a 13-week contract, with the option to extend.

Job Description

• Assess patients' condition before surgery
• Ensure that the Operating Room is prepared with all necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment
• Keep the operating room sterilized
• Position the patient on the operating table
• Pass medical instruments to the surgeons during operation
• Monitor patients' vital signs
• Evaluate postoperative patients

Requirements

• Graduate of a state-approved and accredited School of Nursing
• 2 years experience in Cardio vascular/peripheral vascular OR
• Experience in an academic medical center preferred
• EPIC experience required
• Connecticut RN license or eligible
• BLS (AHA)
• ACLS (AHA)
• Proof of right to work in the United States
• English proficiency
