Job Description: Board Certified Psychiatrist - Specializing in Adult or Geriatric

Impact Health Psych PC, an affiliate of Impact Health PC, is an independent Mental Health Practitioner Group contracted with skilled nursing facilities to provide psychiatric consultation. Our Psychiatric division operates in Connecticut and is currently developing an aggressive growth plan throughout the Northeast. We're seeking a psychiatrist to lead this division.

This is an exciting time of growth. We need a strong and experienced Psychiatrist to provide consultative support to our Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, LCSWs, Psychologists, and Geriatricians. This role is critical to ensuring Impact Health maintains the high standard of practice our nursing facilities and their patients rely on. Our team needs an experienced voice to develop collaborative partnerships across the state and beyond.

Impact Health is an environment that encourages creativity when faced with challenging cases or situations that require insight, patience, and diplomacy. While our providers are the go-to practitioners on-site, some situations require the expertise of a higher license. We are looking for an individual who demonstrates independence, leadership, and acts as a mentor to the team.

Working in today's SNFs requires keen insight and the ability to anticipate outcomes and put an actionable plan in place to either avoid or achieve those outcomes. At times, your role may require being a liaison to facility Directors and Impact Health. A strong understanding of policies, procedures, and regulatory State statutes of SNFs is a plus, along with experience related to compliance of coding, billing, prescribing, documentation, and conduct. But we're happy to train.

This is a consultative position that requires availability during the work week for calls, consultation, and the occasional patient visit necessary for competencies or emergencies. The amount of time required for on-site visits will vary between 10-20 per month, possibly more during certain times of the year. PECs and competency assessments are the primary reasons for on-site visits, along with maintaining a panel of patients at one or more of our sites, if desired.

This role is compensated monthly, based on time spent consulting, attending to patients on-site, developing educational materials, education, and meetings.

    Benefits:

    • There's a great deal of flexibility with robust benefits.
