    Cardiovascular Invasive Technician

    Innova Solutions has a client that is immediately hiring for a Cardiovascular Invasive Technician. This position is a contract role located in Grapevine, TX, with a work schedule of Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 4 PM (4 x 10) or (8 x 5).

    Job Description

    • Assist the Cardiovascular Invasive Specialists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
    • Prepare room and equipment, transport, and monitor patients.
    • Handle medications in accordance with responsibilities.
    • Assist Physicians with arteriograms/catheterizations, permanent pacemaker implantations, diagnostic and interventional procedures, peripheral and coronary interventions, and thrombolytic therapy.
    • Prepare and maintain sterile field for lab procedures; print film and calculate stenosis on peripheral cases.
    • Circulate in procedure rooms and collect data on appropriate forms.
    • Monitor patient's ECG and vital signs while in the Catheterization Lab, notifying Physician of variances, and providing emergency procedures (CPR, defibrillation, etc.) as needed.
    • Perform pre-and post-procedure care.
    • Monitor and orient patients for specials/catheterization procedures.
    • Answer related questions to make patients comfortable.
    • Transport patients to and from procedural area.
    • Communicate relevant medical information to physicians and other staff through required documentation on specified medical record forms.
    • Record, enter data into the computer, and calculate catheterization data, gradients, LV grams, cardiac outputs, and peripheral stenosis.
    • Follow national and state radiation protection regulations for patients, self, and staff.
    • Maintain inventory of and order procedure room supplies.
    • Ensure procedure rooms are adequately stocked and equipment is safe to use.

    Requirements

    • ARRT and MRT, or RCIS certification required.
    • BLS and ACLS certification required.
    • Two years of experience required; Cath/EP Tech experience preferred.
    • One year of clinical experience preferred.
    • Knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy and physiology.
