Radiation Therapist
Job Description:
- Work in a supportive and dynamic environment within Inova Health System.
- Engage with patients, families, medical staff, and healthcare team members effectively.
- Provide education and support tailored to patients' understanding levels and include families in education.
- Position patients for initial treatment and verify set-up using advanced technology.
- Act as a liaison between physicians and machine staff for complex treatments.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and ensure quality assurance on equipment.
- Stay updated with new technology and participate in research projects and educational activities.
Requirements:
Radiation Therapist 1:
- Associate degree in Radiation Therapy.
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist certification or registry eligibility within one year of employment.
- Basic Life Support from AHA required upon start.
Radiation Therapist 2:
- Associate degree in Radiation Therapy or Certification.
- 2 years of experience as a Staff Therapist in a Radiation Therapy department with experience in linear accelerators and patient simulation.
- American Registered Radiologic Technologist required upon start.
- VA License required at PROC (Woodbridge).

Schedule:
