Inpatient Psychiatrist

Join our team as a full-time inpatient psychiatrist, providing consultation and liaison services for adult and adolescent emergency room and inpatient cases.

Job Description

• Manage patients in the Behavioral Intervention Support Program (BISP) in the ER.
• Provide 24-hour coverage with a 7x7 schedule or possible 14x14 schedule.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including nurses, social workers (24-hour coverage in the ER), and therapists.
• Teach psychiatry residents and medical students; participate in program administration, lectures, and faculty meetings.
• Lead quality improvement initiatives for psychiatric services.

Requirements

• Board certified or board eligible in psychiatry.
• California license required.
