    Job Description:

    • Responsible for all CT exams including imaging, interventional, and computerized reconstruction
    • Operates computed tomography equipment and performs a variety of technical procedures
    • Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals based on the level of patient contact

    Responsibilities:

    • Position and transfer patients safely and promptly
    • Develop films by automatic processing
    • Utilize surgical techniques for sterile procedures
    • Assist in equipment calibration and quality control
    • Administer radiographic contrast following physician requests and departmental policy
    • Evaluate when to consult a radiologist on contrast media administration
    • Complete initial IV setup and prep for CT Scan

    Additional Information:

    • Reports to the CT Lead Technologist and/or Radiology Manager/Director
    • May have additional physical demands or respiratory fit test requirements
    • Exposure to moveable tables, film bins, needles, chemical fumes, radiation, and contagious diseases

    Requirements:

    • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
    • Computed Tomography certification required within 12 months of hire
    • Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
    • Must communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
