    Location: Yukon, Oklahoma

    Job Description:

    • Responsible for all CT exams including imaging, interventional, and computerized reconstruction
    • Operates computed tomography equipment and performs a variety of technical procedures
    • Adheres to National Patient Safety Goals as appropriate based on the level of patient contact

    Responsibilities:

    • Position and transfer patients in a timely manner, maintaining safety at all times
    • Develop film by automatic processing, utilizing equipment knowledge
    • Utilize surgical techniques as needed in performing sterile procedures
    • Assist in equipment calibration and quality control, performing each test in a timely manner
    • Administer radiographic contrast according to physician request and departmental policy
    • Evaluate when a radiologist should be consulted on the administration of contrast media
    • Complete initial IV set-up prep for CT Scan, including IV Prep, IV Insertion, and IV positioning

    Requirements:

    • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
    • Computed Tomography certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists required within 12 months of hire
    • Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
    • Must be able to communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)

    Work Environment:

    • Exposure to moveable tables, film bins, needles, chemical fumes, radiation, and patients with contagious diseases
    • Occasional exposure to odors, blood, chemical irritation, constant interruptions, and inclement weather during callbacks
    • May work erratic hours and overtime
