    CT Technologist - Diagnostic Radiology

    Location: Edmond, Oklahoma

    Job Description:

    • Work with the Diagnostic Radiology team providing exceptional care
    • Perform all CT exams including imaging, interventional, and computerized reconstruction
    • Operate computed tomography equipment and perform a variety of technical procedures
    • Adhere to National Patient Safety Goals based on patient contact level

    Responsibilities:

    • Position and transfer patients safely and timely
    • Develop film using automatic processing
    • Utilize surgical techniques in sterile procedures as needed
    • Assist in equipment calibration and quality control
    • Administer radiographic contrast per physician request and departmental policy
    • Evaluate when to consult a radiologist for contrast media administration
    • Complete initial IV set-up and prep for CT scans

    Physical Demands and Work Environment:

    • Exposure to moveable tables, film bins, needles, chemical fumes, radiation, and contagious diseases
    • Occasional exposure to odors, blood, chemical irritation, interruptions, and inclement weather
    • May work erratic hours and overtime

    Requirements:

    • Current certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists
    • Computed Tomography certification required within 12 months of hire
    • Current CPR certification required within 90 days of hire
    • Must communicate effectively in English (Verbal/Written)
