    Psychiatrist

    Join our privately owned, not-for-profit hospital as a full-time permanent psychiatrist in an inpatient position. This 30-bed locked facility only takes voluntary admissions and operates on a 7-on-7-off schedule with 8-hour shifts on site. You will be on call 24 hours for the entire 7 days, serving an adult and geriatric population with a 20-bed adult side and a 10-bed geriatric side. ECT is available, with a focus primarily on medication management and full hospital backup.

    Job Description

    • Provide psychiatric care in a locked inpatient facility
    • Manage adult and geriatric patients, focusing on medication management
    • Participate in ECT procedures as needed
    • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care

    Requirements

    • M.D. or D.O. degree
    • Board-certified or board-eligible in Psychiatry
    • New graduates are welcome to apply
    • Can sponsor J-1 and H-1B visas
    • Active Illinois medical license or ability to obtain
