Job Description

• Coverage needed from May 19, 2025, ongoing
• Standard schedule of 3 days (12 hours) from 7:00 AM to 7:00 PM
• 3-4 shifts monthly ranging from: 6:00 AM - 3:30 PM, 11:00 AM - 8:30 PM, 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM, 8:30 PM - 6:00 AM, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM, and 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Annual volume ranges from 31,000 to 63,000 patients
• Patients per hour: 1.5-2
• ED beds and fast track beds range from 19 to 40
• Multiple locations available

Requirements

• Board certified in Emergency Medicine
• Active Virginia license
• ACLS certification
• Teaching hospital experience
• Trauma Level I and II experience

Call

• No call required

Support Staff

• Backup specialties include stroke center, OB, internal medicine, vascular, GI, surgery, orthopedics (with hand and spine), neurosurgery (2-3 days a week), nephrology, neurology (including telestroke), hematology/oncology, urology, pulmonary/critical care, and podiatry.
