Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

We are seeking a qualified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (NP) for an immediate opening. Our client is a private, non-profit organization licensed by the State of Florida and accredited by CARF International. Our mission is to strengthen lives with compassionate healing. In 2015, we helped 5,342 children and 8,164 adults in Citrus and Marion Counties.

Job Description

• Plan and implement primary care service delivery to patients per health care plan and written protocols.
• Provide primary, secondary, and tertiary care, including counseling and referral within a multidisciplinary team.
• Work Monday to Thursday (4 ten-hour shifts) in an outpatient setting primarily seeing children and adolescent patients.
• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnose psychiatric conditions, prescribe appropriate medication, and provide medication management for patients.

Requirements

• Master's Degree from an accredited college or university.
• Psychiatric certification.
• Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner in the State of Florida (Limited Licensure accepted temporarily).
• Experience or background/exposure in psychiatric nursing.
• Familiarity with psychotropic medications.
• Working knowledge of the DSM IV - Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders.

• Salary ranging from $105,000 to $125,000 depending on experience.
