Registered Nurse (RN)

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating care of patients. The staff RN utilizes the nursing process by use of technology, therapeutic intervention, evidence-based practice, and coordination of care with other health team members.

Job Description

• Recognize and address patients' psychological and physical needs
• Foster continuity and quality of care with the well-being of patients and their families in mind
• Assess a patient's medical status upon admission
• Assist in developing individualized treatment plans
• Comply with evaluation, treatment, and documentation guidelines
• Oversee care delivered by LPNs and/or CNAs
• Participate in clinical team conferences

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing is required
• Nurses with an ASN degree hired after July 1, 2020, will be required to obtain their BSN within five (5) years of employment when hired into an Acute Care or Residential Living position. In the event the employee does not acquire their BSN by the above deadline, there will be a review process on the nurse's individual circumstances. The review process may provide an unlimited number of options, including an extension of the deadline period for up to 2 years, reassignment to a non-nursing position, or termination based upon management's discretion
• Nurses who possess a minimum of ten (10) years of proven Registered Nurse experience in an acute care or long-term care setting or nurses who are hired before July 1, 2020, will be exempt and will not be subject to any requirement to obtain a BSN as a condition of employment at Holy Rosary Healthcare
• Current Montana RN license
• Current BLS certification endorsed by the American Heart Association
• NRP within 18 months of hire and STABLE within 2 years of hire
• One year of nursing experience in a comparable setting, preferred
