    Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery

    The Medical Director of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery at Intermountain Health serves as a physician leader for the care site and works collaboratively in partnership with operational, nursing, and clinical leadership. The Medical Director will report to the respective Medical Director (Specialty).

    Job Description

    • Serve as a model clinical leader, demonstrating integrity, passion, and energy while championing Intermountain's mission, vision, and values.
    • Provide collaborative oversight for the effective implementation of the operating model, including quality and clinical care models.
    • Lead defined specialty physicians, APPs, and others in collaborations to implement care models that best meet patient needs.
    • Ensure evidence-based clinical care standards are established and effectively implemented within the care site.
    • Lead implementation of clinical best practices and programmatic improvements supported by the Clinical Excellence team.
    • Set a culture of team-based care and develop standards and processes to optimize high-functioning clinical care teams.
    • Create an environment that maximizes engagement and professional satisfaction of physicians and APPs.
    • Build and foster physician and APP alignment across the service line/department.
    • Participate in physician and clinical caregiver recruitment, retention, and professional development.
    • Assist in quality improvement focused programmatic development in collaboration for specialty.
    • Direct oversight of relevant process improvement with responsibility for leading to achievements of goals.
    • Partner with physician leaders to ensure seamless coordination of services and clinical programs across the care continuum.
    • Drive engagement of physicians and advanced practice providers, ensuring clinical best practices are achieved within the framework of clinical programs for specialty.
    • Provide leadership, oversight, and support for the development of a culture of high reliability and Just Culture.

    Requirements

    • MD or DO with ABMS or equivalent AOA Board Certification in a relevant specialty.
    • Active Medical Licensure.
    • Minimum three years of clinical experience in relevant specialty and experience in leading successful quality improvement projects within the clinical setting.
    • Effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

    The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.

    $7.25 - $999.99
