    Job Description:

    • Outpatient clinic setting
    • Responsibilities include all aspects of Diagnosis, Staging, Precision Medicine, symptom management, and Treatment of Hematology/Oncology Patients
    • MD oversight for both the Oncology/Hematology clinic and Infusion Services
    • Infusion Center requires MD onsite for all treatments including Chemotherapy, Immunotherapy, Blood/Platelet transfusions, Hormone therapy, Antibiotic Therapy, Rheumatoid Arthritis injections, and Therapeutic Phlebotomies
    • EMR systems used: iKnowmed (Clinic) and Cerner (Infusion)
    • Support staff includes 1 clinic RN, 2 MAs, 2 front office clerks, 1 quality analyst/billing, and 3 infusion RNs
    • Average daily census: 15-21 patients Monday-Thursday with 3/4 of appointments going on the MD schedule
    • 10 patients per day, with 1-2 being new
    • Current call coverage: 24/7 each week with around 5 calls per day
    • 7 infusion chairs available
    • Average callback hours: none - provider is not called back in, remotely called

    Requirements:

    • Board Certification in Oncology AND Hematology preferred, Board Eligible considered
    • California state license
    • Medical Oncology Fellowship required
    • Other Certifications: California DEA, BLS, ACLS required during credentialing
    • Malpractice clean file preferred
    • Availability at time of name clear required

    Schedule:

    • Monday-Thursday, 7:00 AM-5:30 PM with night call
    • 24-hour remote call coverage Friday-Sunday
