General Orthopedic Surgery Locums

Location: Eastern Iowa

Job Description:

Seeking one full week of coverage per month (Monday at 7A - Monday at 7A) starting in January 2025
Cover Monday - Thursday from 8A-5P and Friday from 8A-4P, performing scheduled procedures in either the inpatient or outpatient setting
Cover night call from 5P - 7A and weekend call from Friday at 4PM to Monday at 7AM

Requirements:

Active Iowa license or LOQ (letter of qualification) with the IMLC required at the time of submission
Board Certification or truly Board Eligibility required
General Orthopedics, fracture care, and infection care experience
Must have minimal NPDB hits (little-to-no malpractice settlements) and be able to provide two references at the time of presentation

Professional Details:

Average procedure volume: 2-3 cases each day
Full hospital surgical support staff and anesthesia coverage
Patient population: 96% adult, 4% adolescents/PEDS
Facility details: 150+ bed facility, level III trauma center, Cerner EMR
