    Neurologic PT Supervisor

    The Neurologic PT Supervisor manages the physical therapy teams for the stroke and brain injury programs. They participate in hiring decisions, staff development, and the performance review process. They manage the day-to-day operations and work with interdisciplinary team members for program development. They participate in the Neurologic Physical Therapy Residency program. Patient care responsibilities are commensurate with operational needs.

    Job Description

    • Interacts with co-workers, visitors, and other staff consistent with the values of Jefferson.
    • Participates in the professional development of staff at all levels.
    • Collaborates with the Therapy Managers, along with Human Resource management, addressing staff development and disciplinary processes.
    • Participates in the interview processes of new candidates, as well as those seeking promotion.
    • Orients new staff to the unit and program. Assists with discipline-specific orientation as needed in collaboration with the Manager.
    • Supports department, per manager, with ongoing departmental responsibilities.
    • Prepares performance appraisals, with direct manager, for therapists, assistants, and aides assigned to them.
    • Ensures compliance with accreditation and certification standards as well as developing and implementing quality assurance and program evaluation systems.
    • Attends official conferences and keeps the department informed of changes and updates in physiotherapy-related policies. Develops a reporting system for monitoring policy compliance.
    • Performs other duties as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctoral Degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Program.
    • 6 years of clinical experience with supervisory experience required.
    • Valid PA state license in Physical Therapy.
    • BLS, CPR certification required via AHA.
