    Job Description:

    • Provide and manage comprehensive primary care in the participant's place of residence and in the clinic
    • Take medical histories and perform patient examinations
    • Order and interpret laboratory tests and x-rays
    • Make diagnoses and provide treatment
    • Manage chronic health conditions such as diabetes
    • Perform preventive procedures such as immunizations
    • Prescribe medications and other therapies
    • Monitor and record patient progress
    • Educate patients about their health and instruct them in self-care techniques
    • Promote wellness practices
    • Respond to medical emergencies
    • Perform work of equal skill and responsibility as directed
    • Refer patients to other physicians and other health care providers as needed

    Requirements:

    • Master's Degree in nursing with an emphasis in nurse practitioner
    • At least two years as a nurse practitioner preferred
    • Elder care experience a plus

    Required Licenses/Certifications:

    • Missouri State Advance Practice Nurse License
    • Current BLS Certification required
