Therapist, In-Home Treatment
Join our team as a Therapist in In-Home Treatment, offering flexible, non-traditional work schedule opportunities. We have full-time, part-time, and contractual positions available, with an enticing sign-on bonus of up to $3000.
Job Description
- Provide direct home-based therapeutic and case management services to families with children who have serious emotional and behavioral issues, utilizing family strengths and therapeutic interventions to address concerns while increasing quality of life.
- Deliver intensive and evidence-based treatment to families in their home, community, and schools through family therapy, individual therapy, and case management services.
- Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans using a person-centered, solution-focused approach.
- Provide crisis prevention services and crisis interventions, including safety planning and making face-to-face contact with a consumer admitted for psychiatric hospitalization within 24 hours.
- Be on rotation for the program's 24/7 crisis phone.
- Complete timely documentation, including assessments, treatment planning, and weekly and quarterly paperwork, which includes case file reviews, follow-ups, collateral contacts, and provisions for aftercare.
- Collaborate with collateral professionals, referral sources, and providers of ancillary services on behalf of consumers, including making referrals and coordinating care.
- Manage a caseload of 10-15 families based on referral source and family needs.
- Obtain benchmark productivity thresholds, including those measured quarterly for performance-based incentives.
- Verify Medicaid eligibility and service authorizations to ensure payment of services.
- Attend team meetings, staff meetings, and supervisions as scheduled.
- Complete all mandatory trainings as required by contract, Judson Center, and licensure.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Master's degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology.
- State licensure in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology; full licensure preferred.
- Valid Michigan Driver's License, appropriate insurance, and use of own vehicle.
- Minimum two years' experience providing case management and/or mental health services to families and individuals.
- Knowledge of family therapy theories, treatment philosophies and strategies of home-based services, as well as community resources.
- Clinical experience, knowledge of best practices, evidence-based practice models, trauma-informed care, and co-occurring mental health and substance use disorders preferred.
- Demonstrated competency in computer skills using electronic health records and Microsoft Office.
- Proven capability to provide culturally competent services that show sensitivity to the service population's cultural and socioeconomic characteristics.
- Ability to comply with all applicable licensing rules, accreditation standards, code of ethics, insurance reimbursement rules, and Judson Center's policies and procedures.
Working Conditions
- Non-traditional work hours in the office, family homes, and community.
- Available to cover crisis phone when scheduled.
- Job travel utilizing personal vehicle with mileage reimbursement.
- Working with consumers with a variety of behaviors, including aggression.
