Job Description
- Perform all respiratory care techniques in both critical and non-critical care areas.
- Assist and advise staff Certified Respiratory Practitioners.
- Duties will include but are not limited to aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, CPT, incentive spirometry, mechanical ventilation, arterial blood gases, pulmonary function testing, pulse oximetry, assist with fiberoptic bronchoscopy, and perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapist Program with an Associate's Degree.
- Registered Respiratory Therapist by NBRC.
- Current Florida RT or TT license; CRT is accepted but must become a Registered Respiratory Therapist within 36 months from initial hire date.
- American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, PALS Certification, NRP Certified within 90 days from initial hire date.

Physical Requirements
This job can be physically demanding at times requiring stooping, sitting, standing, and walking for long periods. The team member will need to frequently assist in lifting patients and heavy equipment. Must be able to work in a stressful environment, work independently, make sound decisions, be detail-oriented, alert, and self-motivated. Ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs, carry and lift up to 50 lbs.
Threshold Requirements

- Annual Joint Commission mandatory education requirements, in-service, and health requirements including attendance at new employee orientation.
- TB/PPD Surveillance Program.
- Maintenance of required professional licensing and/or certification(s).
