Medical Laboratory Science Program Director

Responsible for the organization, administration, periodic review, planning, development, budget preparation, evaluation, and general effectiveness of the Medical Laboratory Science program in accordance with the National Accrediting Agency for Clinical Laboratory Sciences (NAACLS) standards for accreditation.

Job Description

• Appoint faculty and coordinate program review and updates
• Receive and process applications for admission
• Act as a liaison between the program and academic/clinical affiliates
• Oversee program faculty, instructors, and students
• Grant certificates documenting program completion and retain transcripts indefinitely
• Serve as the Safety Officer for the Department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology Services

Requirements

• Education Requirements: Master's Degree
• Experience: Relevant Experience
• Certification and Licensure: ASCP-BOC or ASCP-BOC generalist certification as Medical Laboratory Scientist/Medical Technologist
