Job Description

• The Angiography Technician will assist the physician during cardiac or peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures, pacemakers, and ICDs.
• Must possess the ability to perform radiographic work on several different types of radiographic equipment to complete all work in a competent, timely, and efficient manner.
• Assist with patient care and safety while the patient is in the Cardiac Cath or EP lab environment.
• This is a highly stressful, very busy patient care area. Exposure to x-ray and bloodborne pathogens may occur during cardiac catheterization procedures.
• Long periods of standing are required with the use of lead aprons.
• Responsible for rotating call for emergency procedures with a 30-minute response time if employed in the Cardiac Cath Lab.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Radiology Program
• Current certification with ARRT in diagnostic radiology
• Possesses a current license as a State of Ohio Radiology
• BLS certification
• ACLS certification required within six months of hire

Qualifications

• 1 year recent hospital angiographic interventional experience
• Cath Lab experience preferred
• Live within 30 minutes for call requirement
