Assistant or Associate Professor of Surgery

The Department of Surgery, Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at the Yale School of Medicine, in conjunction with the Yale-New Haven Health System, is seeking academically oriented and qualified surgeons to join our faculty and provide services at both Lawrence Memorial Hospital in New London, CT, and Westerly Hospital in Westerly, RI. We are seeking candidates with excellent clinical and interpersonal skills and the commitment to make important contributions to the field of Colon & Rectal Surgery while developing an academic career.

Job Description

• Provide surgical services at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and Westerly Hospital.
• Contribute to the field of Colon & Rectal Surgery through academic endeavors.
• Perform approximately 900 bowel resections and 1400 outpatient procedures across the health system.
• Utilize advanced minimally invasive/robotic surgery techniques.
• Conduct endoscopic as well as pelvic floor/anorectal surgeries.
