    Family Nurse Practitioner - FNP - Part-Time

    Location: Mountain Home, ID

    Job Description:

    • Provide a full range of nurse practitioner services in accordance with privileges granted by the Commanding Officer.
    • Treat patients with common acute conditions, illnesses, or minor trauma within accepted protocols.
    • Collaborate with the physician in the health care of patients with chronic illnesses.
    • Request consultation or referral with appropriate physicians, clinics, or other health resources as indicated.
    • Order diagnostic tests as applicable.
    • Prescribe and dispense medications as delineated by the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
    • Promote preventive and health maintenance care through education and counseling.
    • Coordinate patient care to achieve optimal outcomes in relation to care, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
    • Ensure compliance with standards of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, and guidelines.
    • Assess patients and react quickly in emergency situations.
    • Complete orientation and competency verification programs as required.
    • Participate in the orientation of newly assigned personnel.
    • Serve and participate in committees, functions, and other meetings as directed.
    • Ensure a safe work environment and patient safety in accordance with regulatory agencies.

    Qualifications:

    • Be a graduate of a Masters of Nursing program accredited by the NLNAC or CCNE.
    • Possess a current unrestricted license to practice in one of the fifty states, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, Guam, or the U.S. Virgin Islands.
    • Possess current certification as a Nurse Practitioner by the ANCC or AANP.
    • Possess current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) as approved by the AHA for Healthcare Providers.
    • Have a minimum of 24 months of full-time experience within the last 36 months in a relevant setting.
    • Possess and maintain a current DEA registration number to prescribe controlled substances.
