    About the job

Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician

The Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician will be working at a large Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) in a medically underserved community. You will need to be comfortable treating adults during evaluation, treatment, and management. Although many patients will come to you with acute issues, you will also need to screen for all chronic diseases. This position may also include resident teaching and preceptorship, so you will be responsible for the supervision of any healthcare students assigned to your clinic for educational purposes. Although you will have scheduled hours to work in the clinic, you will also need to be available for on-call services as required in addition to clinical or operations-related meetings that may take place after-hours.

As the largest FQHC in Southeast Texas, Legacy Community Health has been providing comprehensive, quality, and affordable health care services and programs to our communities for almost 40 years. We have continued to invest in our communities, innovating how health care is delivered, to meet the growing demand for care. We continue to grow strategically with close to 60 clinics serving communities across Houston, Baytown, Beaumont, and Deer Park. We’ve also added services and programs to help ensure we remain at the forefront of connecting our communities to health every day, in every way.

Be part of a true Legacy and enjoy a rewarding career by making a difference in the lives of so many patients at Legacy Community Health. Working at Legacy as a qualified FQHC may qualify you for multiple loan repayment programs too!
