    Job Description

    • Serve as an administrative liaison and resource person throughout the practice, facilitating, coordinating, and overseeing the process of patient care.
    • Responsible for clinical staff, staff assignments, vacation calendar, department orientation of new staff, and patient education.
    • Provide support and guidance for clinical policies and procedures and ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory agency requirements.
    • Maintain a positive attitude and foster harmonious relationships with other departments and outside the practice.
    • Demonstrate appropriate communication of information to patients and caregivers.
    • Responsiveness to all patients and office staff requests and needs.
    • Responsible for medication management duties as directed by physician, including injections, administration of sample medications, and patient medication education.
    • Prepare and maintain exam rooms, ensuring stock is at par levels and removing outdated medications/supplies.
    • Follow all equipment cleaning and sterilization procedures and ensure clinical staff compliance.
    • Room patients, conduct patient assessments, assist with procedures, implement physician orders, provide patient education, and document clinical information appropriately.
    • Operate and maintain equipment, including routine maintenance, ordering supplies, log sheets, and cleaning.
    • Obtain precertification/authorizations as needed and comply with all coding documentation requirements to ensure proper billing.
    • Provide Practice Manager and Physicians with statistical reports as needed.
    • Assess human resource needs and plan and evaluate employee activities to ensure safe, effective, and fiscally sound operations.
    • Manage human resources to assure safe and effective operations and reallocate nursing staff to meet patient care needs.

    Requirements

    • Minimum Education: Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN).
    • Minimum Years of Experience: 3 years of clinical experience (at least 2 years of experience in areas of specialty or related medical setting within the past 5 years).
    • Required Certifications/Licensure: Currently licensed as a Registered Nurse by the State Board of Nursing for South Carolina; Current CPR Certification.
    • Required Training: Demonstrates basic first aid knowledge.
