    Job Description:

    • Provide nursing care to patients in a professional and courteous manner
    • Assist with procedures, administer injections, and perform phlebotomy
    • Take patient calls, clean and stock exam rooms, and coordinate supply levels
    • Call in prescriptions and pre-certify patients' medical services
    • Assist the physician with all other patient care as requested

    Requirements:

    • Minimum Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
    • Required Certifications/Licensure: Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of South Carolina; Current CPR certification
    • Required Training: Basic first aid knowledge

    Essential Functions:

    • Maintain a positive attitude and harmonious relationships
    • Communicate appropriately to all ages: infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
    • Respond to all patient and office staff requests and needs
    • Perform duties as required in emergencies

    Communication:

    • Manage telephones, orders, messages, and phone triage
    • Address patient concerns and treatment, and coordinate with staff on patient care and referrals

    Scheduling:

    • Handle referrals, appointments, surgeries, and hospital admissions

    Medical Records:

    • Maintain documentation, forms, and chart structures
    • Manage chart filing, pulling, and image files

    Lab:

    • Perform phlebotomy, specimen collection, processing, and proficiency testing

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Manage medication administration and storage
    • Conduct patient interviews and assist in minor procedures
    • Implement physician orders and provide patient education
    • Document clinical activities and maintain equipment

    Professional Development:

    • Participate in department orientation, annual training, and in-service education

    Leadership:

    • Provide support and guidance for clinical policies and procedures
