Life Care Center of Lewiston is a long-term care and post-acute care facility, well known for its extraordinary customer service, high-quality nursing and therapy services, and high employee morale and retention. We are currently looking for a Full-time or PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our team.
Job Description:
- Provides direct rehab care in occupational therapy to patients upon physician referral under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards.
- Follow occupational treatment plans for patients under the direction of the supervising OT.
- Chart appropriately and timely.
- Utilize therapy software appropriately and accurately.
- Exhibit excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients.
- Assist in the evacuation of patients.
- Demonstrate dependable, regular attendance.
- Communicate and function productively on an interdisciplinary team.
Requirements:
- NBCOT certified upon hire, but renewal is optional going forward.
- Graduate of an accredited program in occupational therapy (ASOT).
- Currently registered/licensed in applicable State. Must maintain an active license in good standing throughout employment.
- One (1) year experience in post-acute care or related setting preferred.
- CPR certification upon hire or obtain during orientation. CPR certification must remain current during employment.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
- Knowledgeable of practices and procedures as well as the laws, regulations, and guidelines governing functions in the post-acute care facility.
