Job Description:
- Provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral
- Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards
Compensation and Benefits:
- Full-time: $40 - $50/hr DOE
- PRN: $50 - $55/hr DOE
- Flexibility with weekly and daily schedule

Requirements:
- Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
- ASHA certified (CCCs) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Registered/licensed in applicable state; maintain active license in good standing
- One year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
- CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current
Professional Skills:
- Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
- Plans adequately for patient needs with patients, families, and support departments
- Demonstrates good body mechanics
- Makes independent decisions as circumstances warrant
- Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines in post acute care
- Implements and interprets departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures
Essential Functions:
- Establishes, assesses, and modifies realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals
- (SLP CCC only) Oversees and evaluates care given by SLP CFYs
- (SLP CFY only) Follows speech therapy treatment plans under supervising SLP CCC
- Charts appropriately and timely
- Utilizes therapy software appropriately and accurately
- Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
- Assists in the evacuation of patients
- Demonstrates dependable, regular attendance
- Uses reasoning skills and good judgment
- Communicates and functions productively on an interdisciplinary team
- Performs physical activities like sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving during working hours
- Reads, writes, speaks, and understands the English language
