Location: Port Orchard

Job Description:

• Provides direct rehab care in speech therapy to patients upon physician referral
• Adheres to all applicable laws, regulations, and Life Care standards

Compensation and Benefits:

• Full-time: $40 - $50/hr DOE
• PRN: $50 - $55/hr DOE
• Flexibility with weekly and daily schedule

Requirements:

• Graduate of an accredited program in speech therapy (minimum MS or MA SLP)
• ASHA certified (CCCs) OR eligible for 9 month Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
• Registered/licensed in applicable state; maintain active license in good standing
• One year experience in post acute care or related setting preferred
• CPR certification upon hire or during orientation; must remain current

Professional Skills:

• Participates in community health matters/projects as appropriate
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and email
• Plans adequately for patient needs with patients, families, and support departments
• Demonstrates good body mechanics
• Makes independent decisions as circumstances warrant
• Knowledgeable of practices, procedures, laws, regulations, and guidelines in post acute care
• Implements and interprets departmental programs, goals, objectives, policies, and procedures

Essential Functions:

• Establishes, assesses, and modifies realistic, measurable, timely, and functional goals
• (SLP CCC only) Oversees and evaluates care given by SLP CFYs
• (SLP CFY only) Follows speech therapy treatment plans under supervising SLP CCC
• Charts appropriately and timely
• Utilizes therapy software appropriately and accurately
• Exhibits excellent customer service and a positive attitude towards patients
• Assists in the evacuation of patients
• Demonstrates dependable, regular attendance
• Uses reasoning skills and good judgment
• Communicates and functions productively on an interdisciplinary team
• Performs physical activities like sitting, standing, bending, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, walking, reaching, and moving during working hours
• Reads, writes, speaks, and understands the English language
