    Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA)

    Lighthouse School is celebrating 55+ years of excellence in the field of Special Education. We provide state-of-the-art clinical treatment and individualized academic instruction for students aged 3-22 with a wide variety of diagnoses, remaining focused on our commitment to being a "safety net" for students who most need help.     Job Description

    • Support our Speech/Language Pathologists in the treatment of patients with speech, language, and communication disorders
    • Assess speech and language abilities and progress toward therapy goals
    • Implement therapeutic activities and exercises designed to improve speech and communication skills
    • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
    • This is a 10-month (school year) position which follows Massachusetts schools' vacations and holidays

    Requirements

    • Positive, energetic, and flexible applicants who can complement Lighthouse's remarkable culture and strong Allied Services team
    • Patience, strong communication skills, and a good sense of humor are highly recommended to be successful in this role
    • Associate's degree from a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant Program
    • Current and valid state licensure/certification in Massachusetts is required
