Job Description
- Provide individual and group therapy using a variety of modalities: CBT, DBT, EFT, ACT, and MI
- Complete and maintain individual and group therapy notes and documentation
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with external customers, families, clients, and employees
- Provide assessment and participate in the treatment planning with clients and their families/significant others
- Facilitate and evaluate outcome measurements and adjust interventions and treatment plans accordingly
- Adapt therapy to meet the individual needs of clients based on their reactions and expressed needs
- Discuss progress toward treatment goals with clients
- Assist and facilitate discharge planning and community outreach
- Initiate, facilitate, and promote on-site activities, therapeutic support, educational groups, and community meetings
- Respond to emergencies and initiate action as required
- Attend and participate in staff meetings and monthly trainings
Requirements
- Master's degree or master's intern in clinical psychology or social work
- Therapist License: LMFT, MFT, LCSW, LSW, LCPC, or LPC
- Valid Driver's License
- Current CPR and First Aid Certification or willing to obtain
- Must successfully complete Background Check, Drug Screen, and TB Test
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience and/or education in chemical and alcohol dependency and abuse
- Ability to use motivational interviewing to reinforce client's power to make change
- Knowledge of HIPAA
- Experience and/or education with crisis management
- Skills and competency in working with clients, from undertaking clinical assessments to planning and delivery of care
- Ability to work well within a team and independently
- Effective communication skills, time management, ability to problem solve, and strong professional boundaries
- Sensitivity to religious, ethnic, and cultural differences
- Knowledge of CBT, DBT, 12-step recovery, and other evidence-based theories is a plus
Physical Requirements
- Light lifting, able to walk up and down stairs, and extended periods of time sitting
