Job Description
- Provide ongoing treatment to assigned caseload
- Document, monitor, analyze, and report students' progress and effects of treatment regularly in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures
- Conduct educationally relevant evaluations and report findings within Evaluation Team Reports (ETRs)
- Write educationally relevant therapy goals and relevant student information background information within Individualized Educational Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and report evaluation findings and therapy recommendations in family-friendly language during IEP and ETR meetings
- Contribute to building a positive, supportive, and learning culture through collaboration and ongoing communication between school personnel and families
- Maintain documentation of ongoing therapy minutes and report due-dates
- Complete necessary Medicaid billing in conjunction with school deadlines and procedures
Requirements
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university in Speech Language Pathology
- Current licensure to practice Speech Language Therapy within the state of Ohio
- Valid driver's license
- Must be proficient in English; reading, comprehending, and understanding the English language
- Completed FBI and BCI background check (can be completed upon hire)
- Current Ohio Department of Education Certification (can be completed upon hire)
- Professional Liability Insurance, recommended by governing body
- Positive and goal-oriented, willing to accept the challenge of new assignments and able to work well with others
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with emphasis on teamwork, customer service, and safe working practices
- Must be able to handle stressful situations
