Family Medicine Physician

Locums, Inc. is seeking BC/BE Physicians in Family Medicine for full-time inpatient and outpatient primary care services in the Northern Navajo Medical Center (NNMC) in Shiprock, NM. Assignment will be for 1 month with extensions available. Any valid state or federal license is acceptable. The facility serves as both a local clinic and area hospital with 60 beds; providers will be part of a team that covers all inpatient and outpatient services. Some on-call is required. Travel, lodging, malpractice, and compensation are covered by Locums, Inc.

Job Description

• Period of performance is approximately 8/1/22 to 11/1/22 with extensions to 2/1/23 available
• 8 am to 5 pm shifts, Monday to Friday with some weekend shifts
• Weeknight and weekend on-call time rotated among staff
• Services offered at the NNMC include outpatient clinic, inpatient care, minor surgeries, and consultations at Level IV Emergency department
• Estimated 2-3 patients per hour
• Provide local populace with primary health care addressing chronic preventative medicine issues
• Located near the Four Corners area of the Southwest U.S. in easy distance of skiing, hiking, biking, and fishing. Perfect for the outdoor enthusiast!

Requirements

• Active and unrestricted state or federal MD or DO license
• Board certified or eligible in Family Medicine
• Active and unrestricted DEA
• Active BLS/CPR and ACLS certifications mandatory
• Full vaccinations and immunizations, including current flu and COVID vaccinations
• 3 references
• Able to commit to at least a month-long assignment
