Family Practice Hospitalist

Our client is in need of additional Family Practice Hospitalist candidates, looking to add 2 more providers to the pool for ongoing coverage.

Job Description

• Call on weekends (7:30 AM Friday - 7:30 AM Monday)
• Weekdays are 7:30 AM - 7:30 PM
• Reason for need: Backfill coverage
• Inpatient admitting, rounding, and backing up the NP in the ED
• APPs provide coverage 24/7
• Patient population: adult, pediatric, medicine, trauma
• Solo coverage - only Hospitalist during coverage
• 1-2 admissions per day; 0 ICU; 5-6 inpatients
• Will respond to house codes
• Will cover Patient Care Unit on the 2nd floor of the hospital
• Responsible for supervising other healthcare providers
• EMR: Epic
• Trauma level 4
• Required procedures: Non-Invasive Vent Management (BiPAP/CPAP), Intubation (ETT/INT), Chest Tube insertion, Central Line, PICC Line, Newborn Resuscitation, General Inpatient pediatrics, Non-displaced fractures, suturing of minor lacerations, evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues, EKG interpretation
• 90-day credentialing timeline, but able to grant temporary privileges in 2 weeks if needed
