Surgical Physician Assistant / Surgical Nurse Practitioner

Location: Wausau/Weston, Wisconsin

Job Description:

• Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to patients under the supervision of a licensed physician
• Work within a cooperative unit, utilizing team effort with health care providers, co-workers, and the public
• Join a team with an experienced Surgeon and PA in Marshfield Clinic's CVT Surgery program
• Call duties included with a frequency of 1:2

Requirements:

• Graduate of a nationally accredited Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner Program
• Certification from the National Commission on Certifications of Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners
• Eligible to obtain or already hold a current State of Wisconsin Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner licensure
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) within three months of hire
• Affiliated staff privileges at associated hospital may be required

Preferred/Optional:

• One year experience in specialty
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification awarded by the American Heart Association (AHA) at time of hire
