    Trauma Surgeon

    Location: Marshfield, Wisconsin

    Job Description:

    • Join an established 7-member Trauma Surgery section at Marshfield Medical Center (MMC).
    • Cover all aspects of acute care surgery, critical care, and trauma as part of an acute care trauma service model.
    • MMC is a Level II Trauma Center with plans to become Level I.
    • Trauma attending is in-house 24/7.
    • Daytime staffing includes a trauma surgeon/surgical intensivist or critical care intensivist in the SICU, a surgeon for the Acute Care Surgical Service, and a surgeon dedicated to trauma patients.
    • Night coverage includes one trauma surgeon for SICU, Acute Care Surgical Service, and Trauma.
    • 4-5 night shifts per month with day trauma surgeon backup.
    • Allied health providers support ICU and trauma services.
    • Surgical resident supervision part of the acute care surgical service.
    • Board certification/eligibility for surgical critical care through the American Board of Surgery required.
    • Interest in participating in trauma research is required.
