    Job Description:

    • Assist doctors in providing health care and support to elderly patients
    • Help to bathe bedridden patients to prevent bedsores
    • Understand patients' medications and administer them to clients as and when due
    • Conduct regular screenings and routine check-ups on patients
    • Assess the cognitive skills and mental status of their patients
    • Observe, understand, and manage peculiar old age health concerns like incontinence, insomnia, loss of strength and appetite, sexual issues, and mobility challenges
    • Educate the families and caregivers of patients on the best ways to care for them and keep them safe
    • Assist doctors with medical examinations and administer prescribed treatments
    • Maintain a chart for patients to have accurate records of medical history, treatment plan, and progress
    • Perform prescribed tests on patients, like blood pressure checks, temperature, respiration, pulse, and blood sugar

    Requirements:

    • Graduated from an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred
    • Must have current nursing or LPN license
    • 1-2 years of long-term care experience
    • Interest in elderly care
    • Must have BLS
    • Ability to multitask and have critical thinking skills, which allow taking initiative when needed
