Gastroenterology (GI) Hospitalist
Mass General Brigham is seeking a Gastroenterology (GI) Hospitalist to join our integrated care team serving the North Shore region of Massachusetts. Based at Salem Hospital in Salem, MA, this position offers the stability and support of a leading academic healthcare system with the feel of community-based practice.
Job Description
- Full-time inpatient-focused role based at Salem Hospital
- Provide consultative GI care to hospitalized patients, no outpatient clinic responsibilities
- Perform all inpatient procedures as needed, including urgent and emergent cases
- Flexible to 2-4 weeks per month model (7 on 7 off or Monday-Friday with no call)
- ERCP/EUS skills are welcomed but not required (candidates with these skills may enhance program capabilities and opportunities for collaboration)
- Collaborate closely with hospitalists, surgeons, primary care providers, and outpatient GI colleagues
Requirements
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for medical licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts
- Comfortable working in a hospital-based, consult-driven environment
- Skilled in routine inpatient endoscopy; advanced endoscopy skills (ERCP/EUS) welcomed but not required
- Collaborative, patient-focused, and team-oriented
- Prior experience in inpatient gastroenterology preferred but not required
Benefits
- Compensation range: $450,000 to $516,000 annually
