Emergency Department Medical Director

We are seeking a Doctor of Medicine (MD) to work at one of our partner facilities. Maxim is seeking an Emergency Department Medical Director for a permanent position in Iowa. The Medical Director will provide leadership and supervise the medical aspects of the delivery of care for the Emergency Medicine Department.

Job Description

• We are currently seeking a BC/BE Emergency Medicine physician to be Medical Director of this experienced, highly skilled team in our Emergency Department.
• The Medical Director will serve as advocate and mentor in relation to patient satisfaction and patient flow relative to throughput.
• Join ten physicians, two PAs, and one ARNP. Medical scribes are available to assist physicians.
• This is a Level II Trauma Center with an annual census of approximately 33,000.
• The Medical Director shall provide and/or supervise the medical aspects of the delivery of care for the Emergency Medicine team.
• The perfect candidate must possess at least two years of previous leadership experience.

Requirements

• Graduate of a medical/osteopathic medical school is required.
• Completion of an appropriate residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible.
• Must have 2 years leadership experience.
• Licensed or eligible for State of Iowa physician license; Iowa Controlled Substance Certificate and Federal DEA Certificate.
