A prominent healthcare facility near Lakemore, OH is seeking coverage from an experienced and dedicated physician to support their inpatient cardiology team. Job Description:
- Position: Locum - Physician, Non-Invasive Cardiology
- Practice Setting: Inpatient, with call responsibilities
- Contract Start Date: April 14, 2025
- Contract End Date: January 2, 2026
- Shift Schedule:
- Daytime shifts, 7:30 AM - 4:00 PM
- On-call requirements: 4:00 PM - 7:30 AM (weekends and select weekdays)
- Call Ratio:
- Weekend call required 1-2 weekends per month
- Potential for 1-2 weekday calls as needed when not on a call weekend
Facility Details:
- Patient Demographics: Adults (ages 18 and up)
- Level of Care: Trauma Level 1 facility
- Bed Count: Total facility capacity of 370 beds with 50 ICU beds
- Team Composition: Seven cardiologists on staff, with other cardiologists available for support during locum coverage
- Documentation System: EPIC EMR
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Cardiology (REQUIRED)
- Licensure: Active Ohio license, or willingness to obtain one (REQUIRED)
- Certifications: ACLS and BLS (REQUIRED)
Required Procedures:
- Treadmill Stress Tests
- Electrical Cardioversions
- Transesophageal Echocardiography
- Echocardiography
- Electrocardiograms (EKGs)
- Chemical Stress Tests
- MRI/CT reads (if applicable)
Credentialing and Reimbursement:
- Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: 30-90 days
- Travel Reimbursement:
- Standard/economy rates for travel arrangements
- Presentation Requirements:
- Up-to-date CV, including locums history
- NPI and/or license number
- Malpractice/background documentation
- References, if available
