    We are seeking a highly skilled Neurohospitalist for a locum tenens assignment in a renowned medical facility in Montana. This role offers an excellent opportunity for physicians with a focus on inpatient neurology and stroke care. Join a dedicated team providing critical neurological support in a Level 1 trauma-certified facility that also manages consults for surrounding critical access hospitals in Montana and Northern Wyoming.

    Job Description:

    • Position Type: Locum Tenens
    • Start Date: February 1, 2025
    • Duration: Ongoing coverage needed with flexible shift scheduling
    • Shift Hours:
      • Day Shift: 7 a.m. - 7 p.m.
      • Night Shift: 7 p.m. - 7 a.m.
    • Open Shifts Available:
      • Night Shifts: February 3 - February 28
      • Day Shifts: February 5 - 13, February 19 - 21, February 25 - 28
    • Patient Census: Approximately 15 patients per shift
    • EMR System: Cerner

    Responsibilities:

    • Coverage Type: Inpatient only; call coverage required
    • Rounding: Required; both general neurology and stroke care cases
    • Certification Requirement: Must be board-certified or board-eligible in neurology
    • Privileges: Hospital privileges required (no temporary privileges)
    • Support Staff: Includes 1 APC per day shift, 3 stroke RNs on weekday day shifts, and additional support staff for neurology consultations

    Call Details:

    • Response Time:
      • 2 minutes for stroke cases
      • 5 minutes for bedside calls
    • Call Consults: May vary; typically includes both phone consults and call-back requirements
    • Additional Information: Teaching and supervision of advance practice providers required; experience in a comprehensive stroke center setting is highly preferred
