Oncologist

Seeking an opportunity for an Oncologist in Washington. This position involves both inpatient and outpatient practice settings.

Job Description

• Coverage dates: May 2, 2022 - December 31, 2022
• Each night from Monday to Thursday, one hematology doctor covers calls for hematology inpatients and outpatients from 5 PM to 8 AM the next day. Each doctor covers just one night per week.
• Call volume is 0-5 calls per night and can be managed from home.
• Weekend call: 1 in 12 pooled weekend call with solid tumor doctors.
• Cover weekend rounding for SCI inpatients (66% hematology, 33% solid oncology) and inpatient hematology/oncology consults.
• Also cover outpatient calls in the evening (APC usually covers during daytime Saturday/Sunday) until Monday at 8 AM and be available to cover treatment center calls (APC in treatment center most weekends, so backup call).
