Physician in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation
Location: Near Pittsburg, Texas
Job Description:
- Inpatient only; no outpatient work required
- Scheduled clinical hours only
- Use of EPIC system for electronic medical records
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and round on assigned patients within a 49-bed department
- Anticipated patient load: approximately 22 patients per shift
- Requires admission duties; hospital privileges are not mandatory
- Supervise support staff, including 3 RNs and 1 PA/NP
- Participate in specialized procedures such as:
- Arthrocentesis
- Trigger point injections
- Diagnostic/therapeutic taps
- Pain management (acute and chronic, excluding injections)
- EMG and nerve conduction studies
Requirements:
- Board Certification: Required
- ACLS: Required
- BLS: Required
- License: Must be licensed in Texas or through the Interstate Medical Licensure Compact (IMLC)
Additional Details:
- Credentialing: Estimated to take one week, with temporary privileges available for quick onboarding
