Psychiatrist

Psychiatrist needed for a locum practice in Iowa. This position offers coverage dates from ASAP and ongoing, with rotating weekday/weeknight/holiday call. Weekends are most likely 1 in 3 or 4. Typically, the schedule is 8 am to 5 pm available on the inpatient unit, with rotating weekday/weeknight call and weekend/holiday coverage. The role includes 24-hour call with 4-8 hours of rounding per day, primarily inpatient with some medical consult coverage (usually less than 1 per day).

Job Description

• Provide psychiatric care in a locum practice setting
• Manage inpatient responsibilities with some medical consult coverage
• Participate in rotating weekday/weeknight/holiday call
• Maintain a schedule of 8 am to 5 pm on the inpatient unit

Requirements

• Must be board certified
• Must be licensed in Iowa
• Clean malpractice and background highly preferred
• IA DEA and BLS required
