    Job Description:

    • Locum Tenens, ongoing position
    • Start Date: January 1, 2025
    • Work Schedule: Wednesday to Sunday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
    • Shift Coverage: Scheduled clinical hours only; no call during non-business hours
    • Setting: Inpatient psychiatric youth treatment unit (ages 5-17)

    Practice Details:

    • Patient Volume: Approximately 8-12 patients per day in the Psychiatric Youth Treatment Unit
    • Admissions: No emergency department admissions required; may include direct admissions from regional hospitals coordinated by the internal transfer center
    • Hospital Privileges: No surgery center privileges required; however, hospital admissions are expected
    • Support Staff: Comprehensive team available; no supervisory or teaching responsibilities for advanced practice providers
    • Electronic Medical Record (EMR): Cerner

    Requirements:

    • Board Certification: Child and Adolescent Psychiatry board certification or board eligibility is required
    • Licensure: Active MT or IMLC (Interstate Medical Licensure Compact) license preferred
    • Certifications Required: BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
    • Credentialing: Expected to take up to 90 days; no temporary privileges available
    • Facility Level: Trauma Level 1, Pediatric Level 3

    Clinical Expertise Needed:

    • Clinical Areas: Treatment for anxiety disorders, affective disorders, ADD/ADHD, personality disorders, eating disorders, developmental disorders, psychotic disorders, and organic disorders
    • Specialty Skills: Involuntary commitments, seclusion therapy, restraint application, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, family therapy, and ECT (electroconvulsive therapy)

    Additional Information:

    • Holidays: Covered during standard U.S. holidays, including New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
